A relatively new built home with a growing family who require more living space. The task was to build a rear extension to a terrace house. This extension was built using SIP(Structural Insulated Panels) with a flat roof housing two 1M x 2M roof lights, the door is aluminium (2.4M high and 4M wide) there is an aco-drain spanning the full width of the door to prevent water ingress . The back wall of the house was removed up to the height of the first floor level, an RSJ(Reinforced Steel Joist) replaced the wall allowing the large opening to exist without compromising the structural integrity of the house. The newly created large open plan kitchen/living space consisting of herringbone flooring, quartz countertops, an island with seating and a hidden utility area. The lack of access to the rear of the property and the rising garden certainly presented a challenge. Here, it was deemed best to use a raft foundation for the extension. The external finishes consist of white acrylic render on the walls and a small patio area with steps leading to an area of artificial grass.

Here, the client required more living space so we were tasked with extending the front sitting room and the porch to coincide. As this wasn’t the largest extension the client decided to really make a feature of the newly added space. A tumbled rustic red brick, a black roof tile along with cream (up and down sash) double- glazed windows and a black composite door all complimenting each other. We installed herringbone flooring, new doors, skirtings, architraves and panelling. To finish off the room we added a feature wall. As the job progressed so did the list of jobs. We then added new garden walls, raised planters and a new driveway.

The newly created large open plan kitchen/living space consisting of 72hr aqua stop laminate flooring throughout, quartz countertops, an island with seating and a hidden utility area. The property has a steep declining garden which presented a challenge however it was easily overcome by the team in creating large steps leading to a level dining area all finished in a grey Spanish porcelain tile. The external wall finish is white acrylic render. Overall the garden area provides minimal maintenance just like the client requested.

For this job an existing extension had to be squared off to create an open plan kitchen/living space. This involved replacing the back wall of the house with an RSJ. A surprisingly quick job as the clients had only purchased the property and had yet to moved in , this meant we could progress quiet quickly. The old extension was removed along with the back wall of the house and replaced with a spanning RSJ, creating the desired open plan. New flooring throughout the property, the kitchen is handle less and painted in a French navy colour, as part of the kitchen a sliding door was added to conceal the utility room. A feature wall was added to match the French navy colour which is complimented by a contrasting brick slip. Hidden LED lights provides for some unique and subtle lighting. Leading on to the outside there is a 3 panel bi-folding door with an exposed black RSJ above, this is set in western red ceder cladding. The garden is done in silver granite leading to a feature patio area.
